Spring 2024 Orientation
Friday, January 5, 2024 | 9:00am – 2:30pm
What to expect at an in-person orientation.
- You will meet other new Bulldogs. You’ll meet in small groups of 8-10 students and go through activities to learn more about each other and TWU!
- Connect with current Bulldogs. Meet your Orientation Leaders who will also guide you on the day and can answer all your questions.
- Meet with financial aid. You will meet with someone from Student Financial Services. Here, you can discuss your award letters, learn how to work on campus and set up a payment plan.
- Register for your first TWU classes! Meet face-to-face with your TWU advisor. You’ll talk through Wesleyan Essentials and your major courses – then register for spring classes! (Note: transfer students will be contacted by their faculty advisor to select classes, freshman students will meet face-to-face.)
- Parents – your attendance is not required, but we also have a schedule of events specifically for you.
Sample January Orientation Schedule:
9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.: Check-in
9:30 a.m. – 9:50 a.m.: Welcome
9:50 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.: TWU
Academics
10:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Group Introductions
Concurrent Sessions
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.: Student Life, Bulldog Technology
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Lunch
12:30 – 1:30 – Freshman: (Advising),
and Transfers (Financial Aid)
1:30 – 2:30 – Freshman: (Financial Aid), and Transfers (your day ends)
