Tennessee Wesleyan University announces a record enrollment to begin the Spring 2025 semester following the previously announced record in the Fall 2024 semester. The Spring semester enrollment of 1,181 represents a 15.7% increase over Spring 2024 numbers.

“In my years in higher education, it is almost unprecedented to experience higher enrollment in the Spring semester,” said Dr. Tyler Forrest, Tennessee Wesleyan University’s President. “There is natural attrition following the fall – some due to graduation, transfer, or simply life changes that prohibit students from returning. The fact that our enrollment increased is a true testament to the dedicated employees working each day to recruit and retain the best and brightest students at TWU.”

The record enrollment is due to increases in several areas. The number of students in the Wilhelm Dental Hygiene Program and Dual Enrollment program both saw spring records. The number of students in graduate programs also set a spring records, with individual records in the Executive MBA, Executive MS, and Master of Science in Sport Leadership programs.

In addition to the increases in the programs listed above, the retention rate for transfers also reached a spring record at 95%.

“We work very hard to make sure the students who choose to attend Tennessee Wesleyan stay in the Bulldog family,” said Forrest. “Employees in several departments are crucial to their success and ensuring they have the best college experience.”

Tennessee Wesleyan University will host its Spring Open House on Tuesday, April 1. Prospective students are encouraged to attend and see first-hand the academic, social, and athletic advantages of Tennessee Wesleyan. Dr. Forrest and other campus leaders and students will be present to answer questions and experience a day in the life of a Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldog. Individual or group tours can also be scheduled.
