Program Description
The program will be offered in the executive format with distance education courses and an in-seat component at the West Knoxville Campus. Classes will be scheduled in two 7.5-week sessions and 15-week sessions (fall and spring) and two 6-week sessions and a 12-week session in the summer. Graduates who flourish in this program will demonstrate the ability to:
- Develop strategic plans to ameliorate changing environment
- Effectively implement strategy while making ethical decisions
- Align organizational effectiveness with multiple stakeholders
- Outline trends related to social, economic, and technological advancements
The program is an interdisciplinary field focused on tactical leadership skills for the competitive business environment. There are three primary entry points per year (fall, spring, summer), and the program projects enrollment of 30 students. The primary audience includes individuals with a baccalaureate or master’s degree who seek to continue their education and attain a master’s degree in strategic management.
