Making College More Affordable

The TWU Pledge

The TWU Pledge is a last-dollar tuition scholarship that will allow HOPE Scholarship eligible new freshman students with a family adjusted gross income of $36,000 or less to attend Tennessee Wesleyan University tuition-free beginning in Fall 2024! As we look to improve student access and affordability, particularly in McMinn County and other counties adjacent to us, the TWU Pledge will be a first step towards ensuring that happens.

For more information feel free to reach out to an Admissions Counselor or Financial Aid Counselor who can help you determine eligibility.

5: Can I go to another school for my first year and then transfer in and still receive TWU Pledge?
A: Unfortunately not. TWU Pledge is just for incoming freshman in Fall 2024.

9: How do I know if TWU is the right fit for me?
A: We invite you to schedule a tour on campus so you can see all that TWU has to offer. Contact our Admissions team or schedule a tour on our website.

10: How much is the TWU Pledge?
A: The TWU Pledge dollar amount is going to vary as this is a last-dollars scholarship. After all institutional aid, state aid, and federal grants have been applied, we will cover the remaining tuition amount with TWU Pledge.

11: I qualify for the Pell Grant? Do I get TWU Pledge too?
A: TWU Pledge does not consider Pell Grant eligibility. It is based solely on the AGI and GPA/ACT.
