Spiritual Life

Spiritual Life

Welcome to TWU!

The Spiritual Life Department at Tennessee Wesleyan University is the heartbeat of campus. We offer a variety of ways to connect to each other, connect to God and put your faith into action. Spiritual Life is an important part of transitioning through this new life cycle and we are focused on helping students live close to God.

Reverend Skip White

CHAPEL

At the center of life on campus is the weekly chapel worship. Chapel is student organized and led, and hosted in our newly renovated space at Trinity United Methodist Church. The worship band is filled with gifted and passionate musicians and Rev. Skip White speaks about health, wholeness, grace and mercy.

TWU LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The Tennessee Wesleyan Leadership Academy is a place where students learn more about the psychology of leadership and put those skills into practice through intentional mentorship in a variety of settings. Both religious and professional internships are available for TWULA students.

MORE OPPORTUNITIES

A variety of Bible Studies are available on campus, numerous Para-church organizations are partnering with Tennessee Wesleyan University and there are always new and exciting service opportunities for you to put your faith into action. Additionally, we have three student spiritual life organizations on campus: Wesleyan Christian Fellowship, Baptist Collegiate Ministries and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. See more on all our organizations on our Clubs and Organization page.

TRINITY COFFEE

In partnership with Trinity United Methodist Church, we offer free coffee and homemade cookies every day through Trinity Coffee.  Trinity Coffee is located just inside the church and has quickly become a fun place to hang out with friends, study for classes, take online classes and have club meetings. We love our students and want them to have a safe place to relax and refresh for the journey ahead.

If you have any questions or want to be active in any of the Spiritual Life opportunities – contact our campus chaplain, Rev. Skip White.

TWU prepares students with the transformative experience and to be well-rounded leaders who make a positive impact on the world.
