Leaders at Tennessee Wesleyan are encouraging both current and future Bulldogs to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, more commonly referred to as the FAFSA.
This year, in particular, has been especially difficult amid a series of challenges presented by the Department of Education. Delays, system crashes, and incorrect information received by institutions has been frustrating for students, families, and institutions alike. In response to these problems, Tennessee Wesleyan University is modifying the priority deposit deadline from May 1 to June 1, and will continue to accept deposits and applications throughout the summer until classes begin in August.
“In our area, approximately 66% of students have completed the FAFSA,” said Dr. Tyler Forrest, President of Tennessee Wesleyan University. “This application is required of all students to receive institutional aid, as well as any federal and state aid.”
Forrest encourages anyone needing assistance to contact TWU’s Student Financial Services Office at 423-746-5209 or email financialservices@tnwesleyan.edu
